Depending on the size... why not use USPS flat rate priority mail boxes? I don't ship stuff often so I don't know what's economical but I would think these should be good value?

They can be a good value, even if many people mistakenly use it for light items when it's cheaper to send it by the pound. Not so good for laptops tho...I had it's box in another box, was 25x19x8 overall, 15 lbs. They are best for smaller items/boxes.

Unless you're shipping lead ingots, they're usually not physically large enough to accommodate tech items that I want to ship (mobos, vid cards, hdds, etc). You have to add shipping insurance on top of that too (compared to FedEx, which gives you the first $100 for free).

I had UPS do the 'Sorry we missed you' BULLSHIT. I had been waiting home all day for a package from them... I can't remember what it was but it was important. OH! I remember... I was going on travel the next few days for business and I had to have my new corporate card mailed to me.

I was in my office all day except every 20 minutes when I was checking the front door. My office is under the front door in the basement so I would've heard if they knocked. I even left the front door open so they knew someone was home.

Around 5:00pm (keep in mind my last check was like ~4:30) I check the front door and see this motherfucking yellow and black sticker on the door. I called UPS right then and they said the infonotice number was not valid yet. Oh boy was I seething. But I took it. I took it like a man because of the piece of shit that UPS has become.

What can brown (shit) do for you?

Since when did these guys get so d@mn expensive?

I shipped a laptop without comparing with fedex, and insured for $800 with "signature required", it costed $28.50 compared to $21.70 for fedex! Holy cr@p these guys have become gougers.

Did they know that this delivery was for you?

I am surprised they didn't ship it to you for free. Since they have made an obvious mistake, they need to make it up to you and pay YOU the $28.50,.. and when they beg you for your forgiveness, make sure you capture it on a video call - that way, you can see that they are indeed on their hands and knees.
