Do they only send out delivery trucks in the morning to do full routes until the evening?

Or do they do two or more routes on the same day?

I have something that got to Chicago at 1:55 (it's 3:01 now), which is 25 miles from here, and I was wondering if I'd get if I'd get it today or would they keep it until tomorrow's route trip?

It says 'in transit.' That's the status. Now I don't know if that's the same as the brown truck or the ride from New Jersey to Chicago status not being updated.

If it says 'Out For Delivery' it's on the truck and you should get it today. But there's no guarantee of that even, as on several occasions our UPS driver has scanned that he had delivered a package, and had in fact left it on the truck for the next day. Why would they do this you ask. So an undelivered package wouldn't count against them. The people that run UPS believe that so many packages should be delivered in X amount of time. I had actually worked for them albeit briefly. Every day they would say what a shitty job you were doing and that you were slow.

In transit usually means it's on their rigs, not the courier trucks.

You have to look at the specific tracking information. I have a package that says "In Transit" but below in the place-by-place list, it says "Out For Delivery"
