UPS Battery Replacement - Can I Upgrade?

I have an APC Back-UPS Pro 420 with a 12V 7.2Ah battery that needs replacing. Can I get a more powerful battery for it? There was a thread here maybe a year and a half ago that had instructions on how to select a more powerful battery for your UPS but I think it's gone.. I need something the same physical size as there's no additional room. TY
 
Not sure on this one, but it should be possible to put another of the same battery in parallel with the first, but of course it would have to be external. Use good heavy wire like 12 or 14 gauge automotive wire.
You will get more uptime, but it don't even think about hooking a heavier load to it.
