UPS and Voltage regulator

hey,guys

my area has electricity voltage problems and my PSU fried because of that

so I was going to buy a voltage regulator unit in addition to an UPS which I was saving money to buy a long time ago

but a friend told me there is no need to do that because modern UPS,s has Built-in voltage regulators

so is this true and if I got an APC UPS with 800-1000VA ,would it be okay for me if I didn't get Voltage regulator unit ?

thanks in advance

If you get a UPS with a voltage regulator already in there, I think it is redundant to have a separate voltage regulator.

I don't know if the separate voltage regulators have any other functions that could be useful, though, or if separating the units provide benefits I am not aware of.

does this Built-in Voltage regulator perform its job with the same performance as a separate Voltage regulator and does it regulate the same range of voltage as the range of voltage regulated by the separate one ?

I think you should not buy additional voltage regulator unit for the UPS as modern UPS's have built in voltage regulator in it.
