I give up on my system. I won't a new one, and I want you guys to help. I am going to upgrade soon, but not wanting to go to any great expense, I cannot go to high. It will be for everyday use mainly, but for running Counterstrike, and buring CD's. I need an overclockable system. My current rig is:

Gigabyte GA 686-BX (slot 1) (max of pentium 3 850mhz)
Pentium 2 350mhz (absolutely no overclocks on this one at all)
3DFX Voodoo2
Matrox Millenium G200
Aureal Vortex 2 8830
Supraexpress 56i pro (v90)
Quantum Fireball 7.6 EL

I am looking for faster performance and graphics, at cheap prices. I can probably spend aroud £150. Please help.

I dont know that mobo, but most BX mobos can take a 1.0 or 1.1 GHz CuMine Celeron or PIII no problem even though they document 850 max. You can get a C1.1 for pretty cheap. Throw in a decent video card (GF3 Ti200, Radeon 8500 etc), and be sure you have at minimum 256 meg of ram, get a new faster HD and you are good to go. To make it a bit cheaper, there are some good deals on GF2 cards if you look around.

Go for a Geforce 3 ti 200, the prices should be dropping very soon with the Geforce 4s taking hold... Try the forums for some deals there.
Ram is dirt cheap, esp. the stuff for the older boards, see about finding 256 or 512 to put in.
(Can't help you on the cpu/mobo, IBM & Celerons arn't my thing)
