Im upgrading my computer this week, and these are the components i was interested in getting. I was told that with the new AMD 64 3200++ socket 939 with the right low-lattency ram and mobo combo, it was possible to acheive speeds up to ~2.6 Ghz. I have around 700 canadian dollars, and wanted to know what is the best ram and mobo along with this:
CPU: AMD 64 3200++ Socket 939-Retail
MOBO: MSI K8N Neo2 Platinum
RAM: here, im looking for 1 gig ( 512 * 2 running at 400mhz,) and for the ram timing to be 2-5-5-5
( but to be honest, im not sure what is good really, i just want to have good ram under 250$ canadian that will be able to overclock the cpu at 2.6 )
for video, i have a 9600 pro 256, but im maybe getting a x800 xt pro, if things go good..
i was just wondering, will i need a power supply greater then 375 and a special heatsink,
any info on this topic or suggestions would help...especially on the ram and mobo..
