I have an Athlon 2700+. Stock it runs at 2.1 ghz @ 166 fsb. I had it overclocked to 2.3 ghz 200mhz fsb. I was very pleased with the performance. It ran stable for 24 hours. I did a variety of tasks to browsing the internet, image editing, gaming, mp3 encoding. All of which ran without errors. But while I was playing NFS Underground, my computer restarted. I didn't want to up my voltage & risk frying my cpu. I currently have the voltage set at 1.725 & I lowered the multiplier to 200x11 (2.2 ghz). I runs perfectly stable for going on 36 hours now.
My question is this; is it safe to up the voltage? I have a lot of cooling in my computer. A total of 6 case fans running along with a super sized fan.
