Uppgrading Asus A7V133

Hi,
I have a Asus A7V133 PCB 1.05 (no trailing dot) with a for today modest Duron 750 cpu.
Now I'm thinking of a uppgrade.
I know that the sdram is slow and so, but I think just a cpu-uppgrade are more cost effective than buying a new board and new ddr memory.

Ok, and know for the problem, witch cpu should I choice, what I'm been told a XP 2000+ (Palmino) will work with this board, is it true?
Will the newer AMD cpu's (Thouroughbred stepping A and B) work with it, anyone tested it?
It would be great to run for example the 2400+ cpu if I could, but if it doesn't work, I'll be seticfied with a 2000+ cpu. In any case it will boast up my computer a lot.

I just sold an A7V133 and person that bought it sent me an email and he's using an xp2100 in it and from what he says, its working great.

Yes, I've sen a lot of post and sites about people running the XP cpu on their a7v133, but all these people have the PCB 1.05. or the PCB 1.04 board. Mine is a 1.05 (no trailing dot) and I have not seen any who's using this PCB version that are using a XP cpu.

The A7V133 i sold was the 1.05, no trailing dot. And like i said, he sent me an email and said its running great.

My 1.04 board is running an XP2000+ at 1.7GHz using 136fsb. The computer gods were smiling on me when i upgraded earlier this year 🙂

I'm running an A7V133 1.05 (no dot) and my Athlon XP 2100+ works just fine. Had to do a BIOS flash update first, but it worked fine after that.

I have an A7V133 @ work with a Duron 800 in it.. it would not work with an Athlon XP1700+ with tha latest BIOS.. i THINK it was rev. 1.04 but I could be wrong.
