This only works at stores where the toilet is not premium... meaning there is no upper lid. If there is an upper lid and you can remove it (with gloves please), Poop in there. It will smell forever.

Pooping in the tank as opposed to the bowl? Eventually that would go away because the feces would degrade in the water and get flushed away little-by-little with each flush. Eventually the tank will be "clean" again.
