uploading ok but no d/l in BitTorrent++

Lately a lot of my files that are downloading from BitTorrent ++ have stopped downloading. They would d/l halfway or 3/4 done but just stops and won't continue anymore. But at the same time, it's still uploading to others. I really hate to have the file up when it's only uploading and I'm not getting anything.
 
I've found that BT++ likes to stop my downloads near the end and just let me upload for a while.
I let an almost finished download run for almost a day before it finally got the last 1MB. When it happened again on another download, I just loaded up regular bittorrent to finish the file and I got the last 1MB at 40K/sec.
