upload a file to pix 501?

Anyone know how to upload a file to a pix? I tried to use the copy http: flash: command but that seems to be strictly for the ios files, it won't accept any other files.

I need to upload a .rec file which is a node secret for a RSA appliance.

Have you tried the tftp command?

the copy command is strickly for images. after the transfer, ios will check the file and bomb if its not valid.

how sure are you that the pix requires the rec file to be in flash memory? never dealt with this config, but maybe you could export something from the ca and use it instead? what pix version are you running?

I've been finding bits of info here and there about how to set this up, but nothing complete, so I'm maybe 50% sure I have to upload this file. Trial and error(and in some cases, destruction ) I've read that manual as well, but does not go in true details, though it is what I'm trying to do and helped to a certain extent. I'm even wondering if this particular pix (501) or ios is just not compatible with RSA token authentication. Some of the commands in that manual do not go through such as the tunnel-group one.

you only need the .rec file on an rsa ace agent like microsoft isa. the pix is configured to communication with the remote agent / appliance, which does the actual authentication.

are you running at least 6.3 on the pix? going by your last post, you dont want to provide a config. im gonna need at least that to see whats going on...just delete any keys / addresses. you can pm if you want ;p
