My friend wanted me to post this for him. "My computer uses an Athlon XP 3000+ CPU and it's speed is 2.0 GHz I believe. But it's only running at 1.3 GHz. I was told that I can speed it up manually so that it runs at the full speed by cyber power.com. But I do not know how. Someone please help. If there is no way to do it manually, what other options to I have?"

-Thank you-

Sounds like the motherboard has set the FSB speed too low. Looks like it's currently set to FSB 100mhz and s/b set to 166mhz.

This setting can usually be changed in BIOS. Grab his mobo manual, or d/l one, and follow the instructions. It's really fairly simple.

Good Luck
