Would like to upgrade so I can hook up my VCR and edit VHS tapes (make
> one video out of several) Either burn onto DVD or CDs (they would not
> be long movies, say 45 min - 60 min)

I currently have:
>
> ATX box w/ dual cooling fans
> Pentium 3 450 (A-bit xxxx)
> PNY Ti 36 meg video
> standard audio
> 1- 40 g 7200
> 1-12 g 5400
> R/RW cd burner
> 256 k ram

Look at my rig. This is what I am using to capture video. When you capture at full res avi it takes approximently 55 gigs for one hour at 29.92 fps, 720x480.vcdhelp Try this site.

I think you need a complete system unfortunatly.
Good luck
