Upgrading?

slayer202

Lifer
recently built this machine:

antec sonata II combo with 450 watt psu
epox 9npa+ultra mobo
x2 3800+
2 gigs corsair valueselect
evga 7800+ GT OC
250 gb seagate SATA HD
NEC dvd burner
added 120mm fan in front

Is there any upgrades for a reasonable price that would be worth it? I could up the memory to 4 gigs for a very reasonable price, I think $125 shipped in the for sale forum. Would that do me any good? anything else that would be worth it?

What sound card are you using? I got myself an X-Fi and it's quite an improvement over my old Audigy.

unless you use your machine for some crazy sh!t, i think 4GB would be a waste.

you can always do a little o/cing, but that rig only looks like it is 1mos old...

onboard sound. here I am using a viewsonic 19" CRT, at school a 17" lcd, nothing special. I dont see any need for more. And what are the benefits of a decent sound card?

can someone explain the "better" sound I would get with a better sound card? and I hear the added performance is minimal

i'd get another dvd writer and dump the CRT

if you are extreme, get an x-fi sound card and maybe another raptor drive
