Upgrading XP Home to Pro

Short of reformatting I have a client who would like to upgrade for the remote capabilities...I have an XP Pro (non SP2) here and his rig has Home SP2 on it. is this possible by just adding the CD in and let it do it's thing? I'm scared of losing their data and looking for a quick way in...

Everything I've found via searching says the upgrade on top of XP Home should go fine. I'd back up the critical data, though, just to be safe.
 
Seems I have to slipstream SP2 into XPpro cause when I tried... Winblows Home stated the CD was an older OS...now that's great as i'll have to hand the Client a Copied XP Pro version :roll:...OOps I did it again :Q
