Upgrading win98SE to 2000

RC159

Senior member
Installing from within 98SE .After 2000 checks system out and says its ready to install and will reboot 3 times, on the first reboot it shows the choices 2000 or windows, it will let me go to win98 but not 2000, it stops and says "press any key to reboot" Anyone tell me whats going on? Thanks

dont do it from within windows, set your bios to boot from the cd rom first, then setu 2k from there, just backup the stuff you want to keep.

I think oyu have defintely got a OS conflict going on here. The best way to sort it out is install a multi OC software, so you can choose which to go from. Or failing that there is something loose or wrong with the CD-Rom drive. VCheck if there is somethign loose inside and mess around with the bios settings.

Hope this helped! Good Luck!

Albert.
