Upgrading to XP Home

Hi All,
I am about to finally upgrade to Windows XP Home . I am a 98SE user for about 10 years so I want
to keep things simple.
Since I live alone on this sailboat I don't need or want any security at all.
Is there any way to get XP Home to always boot up in adminestrator mode?
And do it without any password too???

It will make you an Admin by default. You can get the TweakUI PowerToy from Microsoft's site to log you in automagically if you like. If the system will have Internet access, or might someday have a USB thumb drive, burned CD or burned DVD inserted, then you might need security even though you're the only user. The malware that travels on removable media & drives appears to be on the increase, so just be aware.
 
No problem. Just set yourself up as the only account, make it an admin account, and don't password protect the account. Whenever you boot, it will take you straight into Windows.

I already downloaded Tweakui, although I'm not sure about it. When I used it with 98SE it resulted in a VERY unstable OS.
As long as I just don't enter any passwords while doing the upgrade I will never need any, right?

I use AVG and SPYBOT for security, but I don't insert non-commercial disks into my computer!

IIRC, TweakUI is for XP only. I've used it for a number of year on various XP computers (Home, Pro, & MCE) and it's never given me any problems.

There were previous versions of TweakUI for older versions of Windows. Wikipedia appears to have it about right.
