I have a X2 cpu on the way. I recently upgraded my P/S and noticed a power connector on it designated for dual CPU's. I don't see a connector like that on my socket 939 mobo. Is this connector for Intel CPU's or did I make a big mistake?

And another question assuming it's going to work. Is this just going to be a matter of swapping CPU's or is there any BIOS or other configuration change to make?

There is an 8 pin connect on some PSU's designed for dual SOCKET motherboards. That is probably what you see. As for bios, possibly required if your motherboard doesn;t detect it correctly. Then depending on the OS, you may need to change the processor type if it doesn;t detect the change automatically.

So should I look at MSI's website and grab the latest download before I install the X2? Running XP Home btw. Nice RX-8. I had one of the twin turbo Rx-7's. I'm surprised they haven't offered a turbo model on the Rx-8's.

Latest bios rarely hurts.

On the RX-8. Its 237 HP non turbo. I think thats in the range of the twin turbo, but normally aspirated, right ? what did they have for HP ? All I can say, is it gets me in trouble plenty fast, I don;t feel the need for more speed right now.
