Upgrading to Windows 98 worth it?

Is it worth it to upgrade to Windows 98? I have been hearing a lot of incompatibility issues with Doom and Wolfenstein. But I heard it has extended memory support and better support for Creative soundblaster based cards.

My Computer Science class uses Pentium 2 300mhz systems with very little ram and 1gb hard drives. Oh yeah, windows 95. Oh yeah, kids like me just learning java use them in class, yeah, they suck!

L:ast year in high school i had to a pentium 100mhz with 32megs of ram. It had trouble running word.

they are distributed at our offices throughout the United States. they will be picked up along with some other old PC's and taken to a smelter to be melted down/destroyed
