upgrading to dual core

i have a venice3000+@2.8 that i am selling to a friend and am wanting to go to dual core and was wondering what offers better overclockability and overall overclocked performance the 3800 manchester or the opty165

Another vote for the Opteron 165. At stock, the 3800+ is faster, but the Opteron will have a greater chance to overclock well.

and ive seen alot of those whilst the 3800 has trouble pushing 2.5 somtiems on air...

Opterons seem to be hitting 2.6 pretty easily, but I've seen alot of people get 2.9 on the 3800.
