Upgrading to a 1920x1080 - Samsung S24E390HL or ASUS VS239H-P?

I've just upgraded from integrated graphics (Intel HD 3000 on a 2500k chip) to an R9 380 and I also want to upgrade my monitor. I've been using a 20" LG that does 1680x1050. So I'm looking at 23-24" 1920x1080 models.

I have a restricted budget. Sub $200. So I'm looking at the following:

editing to add : HP 25xw...my top choice at the moment I think - $159.99

ASUS VS239H-P - $139.99 after rebate

ASUS VN248H-P - $159.99 after rebate

SAMSUNG SE390 Series S24E390HL - $179.99

I am pretty out of the loop when it comes to monitor terminology though I think I have managed to choose 3 IPS models. Any compelling reason to go with one over the other?

Thanks for any input/info.

Problem with a 27" inch is that it seem like it would be too big for the spot. From my current lcd to my eyes is only about 31" away. I am thinking a 23-25" is about right but that 27" looks like it would be too much. (Also, if I go larger I think I would want a 1440 instead of 1080. Though I'm not sure. Guess I ought to stop by Best Buy or something and look at resolutions.)

I came across the HP 25xw for $159. Seems to have some good reviews. Better choice if I want to stay smaller than a 27"?

And I did. Order has been placed. (NewEgg, no tax, free shipping via Shoprunner). Should hopefully be here by the end of the week. Fingers crossed!

Received the HP 25xw today. First impressions are very very good indeed. Dropped brightness to 51% and using the "Native" color profile at the moment. So far so good. Will be doing some benchmarking and testing but it really seems lovely so far.

Are you much of a gamer? Kinda wondering about any ghosting or lag, while the 7ms stated is a minimal increase from most of the IPS that usually report 5ms, it mostly depends how they were measured so stats like that don't seem overly reliable.

I am not much of a gamer actually. Or haven't been in recent years anyway. Mostly reserve gaming to my PS3/now PS4. That said, here is a link to the review that went a long way in swaying me to the HP. I'm linking specfically to the section on ghosting.
