Upgrading the CPU in a tablet PC?

I had an Acer TMC 303XMi-G a few years back. The hinge broke, so I eventually threw it out but I salvaged some parts. Among them are the P-M 735 (1.7GHz Dothan), 2 512MB RAM sticks and BlueTooth and WiFi modules. I still liked the tablet PC functionality, and wouldn't mind it back.

I saw a Gateway M1300 (same as Motion M1300) second hand for $400, which seems decent enough compared to notebooks, especially considering the potential of it being viewed in sunlight. It has a 1GHz P-M and 256MB of RAM, 30GB HD and 802.11b. I figure upgrading to 1GB RAM and my 80GB hard drive should be easy. Upgrading the 802.11b to 802.11g module would be a bit harder, and upgrading the 1GHz to 1.7GHz would also be harder.

Something I'm a bit worried about is I think the 1GHz P-M might be a ULV model, while the 735 I have is not.

What's the likelihood that this upgrade path would work, and what problems could I be looking at (such as bios not supporting the Dothan or overheating) if I do try it.
