well, upgrading the computer again. the last time i did this was the reason i joined the site!

i currently have

msi motherboard (not sure exact model now)
amd 1.33ghz cpu
396mb pc133 ram

added geforce 4 ti4600 late 2002

how much of an increase will i see with the stuff i have ordered?

Abit NF7-S NForce-2 (ver 2) MCP2-T/AGP 8X
AMD Athlon XP 2500+ Barton (hoping to overclock this badboy).
1 GB (2 pcs 512) DDR 400 TwinX1024-3200C2

(of course geforce 4 ti4600 card will be added as well)

will i see a good increase? i hoping to run a bit better in games at least.

i'm thinking that my crappy pc133 ram might have held me back a bit. a 1gb of ddr 400 sure give me all the memory i need!

on a side note. i'm still using a 300w power supply (antec) should i get a higher wattage? i only have 1 hd, 1cdrw, then motherboard, ect. should i go to 400w?

here is a little shameless bump to get to my question

Since your power supply is an Antec it will perform much better than noname 300w power supplies, and you aren't using many drives, but barton cpu's and a ti4600 do draw a hefty amount of current. I don't think you'd need a 400w, but i'd seriously look into a decent 350w. Actually, I have an antec true power 380w and love it. You can pick one up at newegg for 72 dollars shipped. Otherwise, that is a spectacular system you have going there. Flash your bios to the latest version, and you can prolly change your multiplier from 11 to 12.5, turning your 2500+ into a 2800+. I have done it and have never experienced any problems. Haven't had to change the voltage either. Hope i've been helpful.
