From this thread it sounds like it's a 6800GT with only 12 pipes instead of 16. This would probably make it a little faster than your current video card and the 6600GT.

What about the price? Is that a good deal? It seems to be around the same price as a 7300 series card, but I don't know how it'd perform compared to one of those.
Decisions, decisions!! :(

The 7600GT looks like a good deal and it would be a good improvement over your 9800. Here is a link to tool for comparing video cards on Tom's Hardware (Link). It doesn't include your 9800, but you can use it to give you an idea of how more modern video cards compare with each other.

Having more information would help us recommend a card to you and to determine whether or not that's a good price. Right now, all I know is that you want nvidia, you want it to be as good or better than your 9800pro, and $200 is too much for a before-rebate price.
  1. What is your budget?
Would you deal with MIR, and if so would your budget increase for the before-rebate price?
    Can the card be used?
    Do you plan to overclock?
I would still recommend the 7600GT new or the 7800GT used.

Budget? Definitely less than $100...unless I get some stuff sold that I have listed in another thread here (shameless plug... ;) )!
MIR? Depends on the "before rebate" price...some rebates can be quite hefty!
Card can be used...especially if it's an eVGA & the seller hasn't registered it & has the original invoice so I can take advantage of the lifetime warranty.
Overclock? I dunno...maybe a little...don't we all? :)

Hope this helps...and don't y'all forget about my FS/FT thread! :D
