Hi all,
I am upgrading my sound card from a SB Live to an Audigy and need to know what is the best way to uninstall the old live 3.0 drivers to the Audigy.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Hey, I did this just last weekend. Upgraded from a SB live to Audigy -2. Don't know why, maybe I'm an idiot, but nothing I could do would get the darn new card to work. I unisntalled the old SB drivers and old Creative software first, then installed the card and went through the software intall of driver and programs. My computer would not recognize the card. After much fiddling and such I just re-formatted the darn c drive. Card works beautifully now.

Probably not what you wanted to hear though. I'm sure I messed up somewhere, but I have no idea where. I do hope your experience goes better than mine.

One final point though. I do really, really like the improvement in sound quality. It's a big improvement...woof!

Add/remove programs will work just fine. I've switched around between onboard sound, a SB128 PCI and an Audigy many times in the past using this method.

I plugged the card in. winxp went through the process of recognizing the new card but I cancel the installation of drivers and did it myself.

I uninstalled all the SB live apps in add/remove except the window drivers (too chicken to erase everything) and just installed the new Audigy drivers. Card is sounding and playing well.

Now to get a set of kick arse speakers. ;)
