Upgrading ram to 4gb

My laptop (gateway T-1625) has an onboard video card that eats some 338 mb of ram. Since this only has a 32-bit os anyway, if I upgrade to 4gb of ram.. would the videocard use the ram that vista wouldn't recognize anyway? I assume it should..
 
the 32-bit OS will only see 4gigs TOTAL. So if your video card relies on the system to use as it's own then you should be fine.
