where do you guys recommend... I need 32 sticks of 128mb pc100, and 14 sticks of 64mb pc100...

Try Krex.com They have been running great specials and I have never had a problem with any orders from them. They offer lifetime warranted memory at a really good price. You may be able to get a volume discount by calling them and letting them know your needs.

If all you need is PC100 memory, there is a thread on the Hot Deals forum about 256MB sticks of PC100 made by Kingston that's being sold at Dell.com for $20.21 after 10% discount with free shipping. I know that's a lot more than you need, but depending on the prices you look up, the 256MB Kingston memory sticks at Dell.com might cost less than 128MB sticks you find elsewhere. And if the 32 boxes that you're planning to upgrade are using 64MB sticks now, you can just move them over to those 14 that need another 64MB stick (and have some to spare if the memory goes bad).

I thougth I saw another post about dell having memories for $20 bux. You might want to do a search in the hot deals forum.

no matter what you do, make sure you order for a good store. that is good with RAM just in case you get some bad RAM.

you don't have to buy name brand, but for such a large purchase, it's the best way to go, especially if it's for work.

i recommend crucial since you are ordering straight from the manufacturer (sorta, it's still a store front, but they make the RAM, crucial is owned by micron).

and call the store, ask if you can get any special discounts ;-)

I took a risk and ordered from a company off of pricewatch (buyaib.com). I had been shopping around through pricewatch, but couldnt find any that didnt limit purchases...finally I found one, and i ended up paying about $12 per stick...so, we will see...I know its a little risky, but going through the big guys was too expensive..
