I want to upgrade my GTX 760 4 gig graphics card to a GTX 970 but I have a few questions.

The problem is that I only have a 450 watt PSU, and i've read that the GTX 970 is recommended to be used with at least a 500+ watt power supply, so I chose this one.

Corsair CX600 CP-9020048-US 600W Power Supply
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...rd_t=36701&pf_rd_p=2079475242&pf_rd_i=desktop

My question is if this power supply will be sufficient for my specs (After I upgrade to the 970)

i7-4790 CPU @ 3.6 GHz
GTX 970 SC+
12 gigs RAM
1 TB HDD

Another question is that I bought my PC as a "custom built" Lenovo computer from Fry's Electronics, and I cannot find the model of the Motherboard I have online as it is a Lenovo brand Motherboard, I also checked System Information it shows the Base Board model number as not available but shows this information ..

BIOS Version/Date LENOVO I1KT37AUS, 2/14/2014
SMBIOS Version 2.8
Embedded Controller Version 255.255
BIOS Mode UEFI

Since it's compatible with my GTX 760, will it be compatible with a GTX 970?

Also which GTX 970 do you guys recommend?
EDIT: I found this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127833

All help and opinions are greatly appreciated!

Hi Shaun369, welcome to AT!

- Did you already buy that PSU? If you did, it's fine.
- The MSI GTX970 you linked is good, especially if you use the $25 AMEX deal to reduce its price further to $235.
- If you do not have an American Express credit card, you could consider spending $10 extra for the Asus Strix 970 as it's one of the quietest 970 cards on the market.

There shouldn't be any compatibility issues with your motherboard. Enjoy your new rig. Try to sell that 760 to recoup some of the upgrade cost ;)
