I currently have an APEVIA ATX-CW500WP4 ATX 500W Power Supply in my file server. I got it for 29.99 AR and I got what I paid for. I'm looking at thermaltakes, the W0093RU 500W and the Purepower W0100RU. The Purepower is 47 AR on newegg, the other is 63 AR. I can't seem to figure out the differences. Is the Purepower just a newer model that isn't selling as well yet or is it a weaker unit? Noise is also a big factor for me but both seem to run pretty quiet.
 
I can't personally recommend any Thermaltake.. Still have to recommend the Enhance 5150GH. Alternatively you could get the Antec Earthwatts 430 for about $60. But when you can get the Enhance for ~$70 often with free shipping why bother. I'm sure someone can help you with your particular question though. Personally, my recommendations never go below that.
 
yeah, I saw the 450w corsair for 78 shipped at newegg, too. That is a little bit more than the others but it appears to have the same high quality of the 520 and 620. I've also heard that the earthwatts are good, but I'd go with a corsair vs any other similar unit b/c of their very quiet design.
