According to Gateway I have a Jabil Motherboard with an Athlon 950 - Ziff-A.
I want to upgrade to an Athlon XP because they are dirt cheap ... and I do not want to invest alot into a new mobo and processor etc.
Does anyone know if this is possible? ... I have searched the internet far and wide ... maybe my keyword vocabulary is weak ... , but I cannot find a thing.

Thanks in Advance.

Not possible... get a new board anyway.... you'll see major improvements anyway. It may seem more expensive, but just get a nice board 8RDA+ and a 1900+ or something like that and OC it. Or just go all out and get an A7N8X delux and a 2500+

Note: An ambient temperature that exceeds the board's maximum operating temperature by 5 to 10° C might cause components to exceed their maximum case temperature.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Reliability MTBF is 293,919 hours, at 55° C (133° F)

If anyone can help me I would be very appreciative. Thanks.
