seriously, your probably better off just getting a new mobo/cpu/ram for the price of a celeron 1.3 with a converter.

athlon xp1800-49

=== $151

throw in 15 or so more bucks for a cheap HSF and shipping

WAY better deal that fooling around with a 1.3 celeron

No doubt! But, he'd need to spend another 25 or 30 dollars for a decent power supply, because I can assure you that the ~200watt psu that came with that Celery 400 isn't gonna run an XP1800 and all the other stuff he's got in that system.

i know celeron is some what crap....but i just want to buy a 40 dollar cpu(celeron 1.3 or one that reaches 1ghz) and throw it into the board i have with out any complications...and need to know if a fc-pga or fc-pga2 would fit on my converter and work with my board... i am building an amd system already and would be using an abit board and 2500+.... as i said just want to drop a faster processor on this board if possible just for back up ..(in case new system crash and burn for whatever reason)

Then it sounds to me as if you need to start doing your research. Anything you want to know about a 400mhz Celeron can be found here:
