My current system consists of a 1.4ghz Thunderbird, Ti4200 graphics card, 1 gig PC3200, three HD's and one CD Rom. The power supply is a 340 watt Enermax with 15 amps on the 12v rail.

I would like to upgrade to a 3000+ A64 (754) and Radeon 9800 pro, keeping everything else. Would I be able to still use this power supply?

Edit: According to the Power supply wattage calculator, my old system requires 260 watts and the upgraded system 303 watts ... can I assume my 340 watt PS would still be OK?

If it turns out the PS is too small, do I risk hurting the components, or will it just not turn on or crash a lot?

I assume it is not enough with only 15A on the 12V. I would want at least 18, but that is just me. You could always try it out. I do not think it would hurt anything, just cause poor stability and frequent crashes.
