unfortunately the PlayStation has its own CD-Rom interface which is based loosely around the PC-CDROM Sony CDU-330 or something like that. I used to have one and it used a proprietary connector on the sound card. So the only chance to get better load times for GT2 is to get a PS2... but then who needs GT2 when you can run the fantastic GT3??

you cant do it! Maybe if put a stronger motor in the psx cdrom! I don't think that would help either since the hardware might not give enough power to the cdrom motor to move faster!

so you know how fast is the DVD drive in PS2? It took forever to load games in PS2 too.

A stronger motor certainly wouldn't do it. You'd all the electronics.

Maybe you could try the Playstation Emulator for PC. Then you'd be able to use whatever cd-rom was on your computer.

Yup-- the PS2 will load Playstation games much faster than a Playstation can.
