My friend is looking at this system:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/...x?Item=N82E16883229076

I have a monitor, and will put my two WD Raptor drives in whatever I buy most likely. I have an AGP chipset and graphics card so whatever I upgrade to will have to have new MB, Ram, Graphics, Chip.

So here is the main question... is the rig I posted above a nice upgrade that will last me a couple years or can I build my own that will do better than this for about the same price?

MOD EDIT: Looks to be a double post. - Zap

Do you game? 9500GTs' are not meant for gaming. Also in the link the computer has a g31 chipset which is a poor overclocker.

Just a rough outline :
Intel Q6600 ( around $170)
A good P43 chipset mobo
4GB DDR2 800mhz RAM
Ati4830 or Nvidia 9800GT (~$100)
