Upgrading my Router Firmware Wirelessly

I upgraded my WRT54GS router's firmware earlier today. Contrary to what many guides warn, I did it wirelessly 3 feet from the router and had no problems.

Has anyone done a firmware upgrade wireless and had problems before? I'm trying out another firmware for my router and want to know if it's safe to do it 20 feet away from the router.

Ummm, what's the point of this? Why not follow the recommended procedure instead of trying some experimental approach?

Yap I heard about poeple that jumped down from the third floor and nothing happan to them.

Is it smart to Jump down from thr 3rd floor? Nope!.
