Hey guys. I haven't upgraded in 6 years and have decided it's about time.
My setup now:
AMD 64 3200+
DFI LanParty ut nf4 Ultra-D
BFG 9800GT 512MB
2x512MB OCZ RAM PC3200
Raidmax ATX Case
Western Digital 80GB HDD
500W PSU
I am planning on upgrading my motherboard, CPU and RAM. My budget for these 3 things are $200~
This will primarily be for gaming (Starcraft 2 and other future PC titles)
What I initially planned:
Processor: AMD Athlon II X2 250 Regor 3.0GHz 2 x 1MB L2 Cache Socket AM3 65W Dual-Core Processor
Motherboard: ASUS M4N68T-M AM3 NVIDIA Geforce 7025/nForce 630a Micro ATX AMD Motherboard
RAM: GeIL 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 (PC3 10660) Dual Channel Kit
Now looking into Quad Cores I found out I can get a Quad Core setup within my budget.
I was looking at the AMD Athlon II X4 : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819103706
with 2GB RAM: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820148304
Which one will be the better buy?
