Hey yall ...

I just got a brand new laptop from my dad today and it is a P4 2.8 HT ... but they cripple it with a geforce fx go 5100 card. I was wondering ... (and I think this is an integrated card, but not sure) .... is there any way possible for me to upgrade this card or am I stuck with it? Reason I am asking is because I want to play games on it ... and this 5100 wont get me very far.

Just in case it helps anyone ... I got a toshiba s409 ... I have read that some of the newer laptops can be upgraded .... I was wondering if this is one of them.

If it's a discrete card then check ebay for possible nvidia upgrades for your model. Have seen some for Dell's.

Check the Toshiba website. It's been a while since I was there- I remember it as being somewhat of a confusing layout. Hopefully they've changed it. Anyway, the point is that they have a section where you can search for upgrades and accessories for your specific lappy. Search there and if there is an upgrade gfx card you'll find it
