Upgrading my laptop, PIII 500mhz, or Celeron 650?

Considering that the CPU forum is deader than dead, I hope to get some opinions over here. I have a 450 celeron in my gateway right now, but I wanna upgrade the cpu...it's $75 for a 650 celeron, and $85 for a PIII500? which would be better?

if its a pentium III-m , then it should be better since it doesnt eat the battery up as fast as a celeron. otherwise go celly.

fyi: celerons lack the power saving logic the pentium III-m does, and iirc, uses a higher core voltage than the super-low-voltage pentium III-m.
