This is probably an impossible goal but I just want to be able to run Crysis on max or close to max settings on a 22" Wide screen monitor thats at 1680x1050 resolution.
I'm currently running
My mother board is EVGA Nvidia Nforce 680i SLI.
CPU Core 2 Duo E6400 Conroe 2.13 Ghz
2 Gigs of OCZ 240-Pin DDR2 667
EVGA 7950 GT 512MB Nvidia (was running SLI burned out a card and RMA it back)
ASUS Atlas 550W power supply
I planned on upgrading to Quad-Core, and sticking with EVGA Nvidia Graphic cards. So my questions are. Do I need to run SLI with the 8800's? and if I do would I need to upgrade my power supply? is the new DDR3 ram worth upgrading my mobo? and if not should I upgrade my ram anyway and get either another 2 gigs of what I have or possibly buy 4 or 2 gigs of DDR2 800 PC 6400.
I have about 1,800 dollars to spend not sure what I should get. Any help would be greatly appreciated and if you need any additional info just ask in the thread or PM me.
