For Christmas I bought my brother a new CPU(Intel E-7500) figuring I could just update the BOIS and drop it in. Well after doing some reading online it would seem that the cpu is not compatible with the revision of the motherboard we have.
***EDIT***
Going to stick with the e-7500, just need a new motherboard. DDR2 or DDR3 doesn't matter, will be buying 4GB of ram and the price is the same.
Budget $100-120, less is better.
He has already bought Win7 Home Premium 64 and has a new tera-byte HD to install it on.
Other hardware he currently has:
2GB DDR2 ram(2 sticks)
Radeon 4850
System is used solely for entertainment. 90% gaming/10% music and movies.
