Upgrading Memory Question

I upgraded an HP laptop (T7100 based with Intel integrated 965 chipset video ) with Vista from 2* 512 MB to 2*1GB . Does this necessitate any changes in BIOS or anything else , or is this all automatic ?

I don't think you even have any memory options in BIOS on an HP laptop.

As long as you've upgraded with the same type and speed RAM, you're OK.

OK Thanks . Another question - the Windows Task Manager -Performance Window shows Physical Memory : Total 2037, Cached 1316 and Free 31 .On bottom right corner shows Physical Memory : 50 % . I know the Intel graphics has shared memory , but does this sound right ?

It looks like you have dedicated video memory - my laptop shows only 1917 MB.
