I just recently bought my first laptop. I have always built my desktops. So I just had a small question about upgrading the memory in my laptop.
I have a Dell Latitude e6400 with a Intel® Core? 2 Duo P8600 (2.40GHz, 3M L2 Cache, 1066MHz FSB)
Will any DDR2 800 memory work in that machine? or do I need to be careful, It says it supports 1066 but I don' think its worth the cost right now... And dell only included 800.
I tried to use a few of the laptop memory utilities like on newegg, crucial, etc. But a lot of them didn't even have my laptop on it yet. Crucial did... but it only recommended CAS Latency 6 memory.
I was looking at getting:
