Upgrading IE on a machine that is not on the net?

My friend needs to get IE 5.5 or 6 onto this other computer, but it's not on the net. I know you can download the small installer, but then it goes out to the net, how do you do it without the net? Thanks.

Do you have access to a machine running Win9x/ME/NT (not 2000)?

If you do, I know when you run the the installer for IE5.5 (not tried 6) you can specify that you want to download the source files only which can then be burnt onto CD, really for installation on another machine.
