Here is what I have and would like to keep:
AGP: MSI 6600GT (I dont want to upgrade to PCI-E)
Memory: PQI PC3200 512 (2x256) TCCD

I play games (HL2, COD2, BF2, and etc...) all the time and would like to OC!

CPU:
AMD Athlon 64 3000+ Venice 1GHz FSB Socket 939 Processor Model ADA3000BPBOX - Retail
or
AMD Athlon 64 3200+ Venice 1GHz FSB Socket 939 Processor Model ADA3200BPBOX - Retail
(I only have about $150 to spend on a CPU)

Mobo:
ASRock 939Dual-SATA2 Socket 939 ULi M1695 ATX AMD Motherboard - Retail (But is it a good OCer?)

Memory:
CORSAIR XMS 1GB (2 x 512MB) 184-Pin DDR SDRAM DDR 400 (PC 3200) Unbuffered Dual Channel Kit System Memory Model TWINX1024-3200C2PT - Retail (or should i stay with the PQI memory?) or with other memory would you perfer for OCing...?

Hard Drive:
Seagate Barracuda 7200.8 ST3250823AS 250GB 7200 RPM Serial ATA150 Hard Drive - OEM
or
Western Digital Caviar SE WD800JD 80GB 7200 RPM Serial ATA150 Hard Drive - OEM Maybe two of this so I can do Raid!

Everything is from Newegg.

Thank you,
David

If I had to chose between the 2 cpus, I owuld go with the 3000+, and save the cash. (Stay with me..)

Instead of 2 HDDs, just get one, and save the cash. (Getting there..)

Keep the memory you have (for now)... (More cash saved)

And get THIS PCIe card, with a free mobo.

Not a bad deal, and you get a MUCH better card.

You can always add memory later. You can always get a second card later.

IMO, better investment.

I dont need to upgrade me video card right now. I will in about an year or so.

I might get the ASRock or the MSI NEO2-F.

And I will stick with the 3000 because I heard you can really overclock it!

Has for the HDD, I will just stick with what I have at this time.

Thank you, I am just stuck on the memory and hard drive thing.

I will see how good my PQI 512 (2x256) DDR TCCD memory will work.

But what about the hard drive - is there a noticable difference in the ATA133 vs SATA150 (7200 RPM) Hard Drives?
