Hi, fixing to upgrade everything and will reformat and reinstall xp home. Will I get grief from Msoft trying to reactivate the OS?

Changing the mboard and almost everything else, the OS is not oem, bought seperately.

I've changed a bunch of stuff before in my box and had to call them to get a reactivation code. Generally the people I talk with aren't picky or whatever. I just say, "Hey, I've upgraded my computer." And they give me the code.

As long as it's a legit copy of windows you really don't have to worry about it.

I just did that for someone. I told them the previous mobo went bad (which it did) so I had to replace it.

Then they asked me if the copy of windoze was on any other machine. I said "no". They gave me a new registration # etc.

No prob really.
