Upgrading from WinXP EVAL to WinXP Store Edition

I am going to reformat my HD for WinXP EVAL and then if I want to upgrade that to WinXP store what do I do? Do I upgrade? Reformat?

Note: Don't come in the thread telling me to download win xp and crack it, I like to get things legit. Plus I own MSFT stock 😀

XP RC 2 will not let you upgrade to the XP home edition only to the Pro edition. If planning to fork out 300$ for Pro then your fine. You will need to reformat again if your planning to buy the home edition.

How do you know that Naka wants the home edition. The post states store edition and that can refer to both XP editions.

Well I can get Pro Upgrade for $199 which is the same price as Home Full for $199 if you can upgrade to Pro but not to Home.

What features does Pro have over Home?

<< wtf would u want home for??? pro has everything home has and more >>

Yes, but for many people Home is perfectly adequate and provides everything they need.
I can easily understand someone wanting to save a $100 or so buying Home, as many people will not understand nor utilize any of the capabilities the Professional edition adds on.
