Upgrading from Win98SE: Win2K OEM or retail?

The more I read this board, the more I want to ditch my POS win98 and go to win2000. I've got the hardware below + now a Live! 5.1 soundcard & current Linksys NIC. I understand my stability will go up tremendously with similar framerates in games (after appropriate tweaks). I have Win98SE installed on a 3-partition 45gig HD (75GXP)now. Can I buy the OEM and give it a partition and dual-boot with Win98SE? Or will it b*tch that there is already Win98 and thus I need to buy the upgrade version? If so, can I get around that?

$89 is steep enough!

Windows 2000 comes with a boot manger which if you click the right stuff during setup will install itself on whatever partition you want. I'm not sure what the current price of Windows 2000 is but I'm pretty sure the OEM version is cheaper.

Win2k makes dual-booting very easy... All you need to do is install win2k and it will automatically detech win98 and lets you dual-boot after the setup is done...

So to answer your question, yes you can buy OEM and dual-boot with win98...
