I've decided that it's time for me to make the switch, but I am basically clueless on how to go about doing it. If someone can give me a rundown on what I'm going to need to do and buy, it would be greatly appreciated.

I've been looking at things like this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...N82E16815150028

but I'm not sure if that's what I need. Feel free to recommed me some options. How many ports should I be looking for?

Also I am planning on swapping my old 40 gig HD for a 250 gig, is this a relatively easy process, or what?

I appreciate any input.

if you are not planning on chaning the mobo... i know there are some PCI cards that have USB2 and Firewire ports in one card..

that will be the easiest way to go about it...

for swapping HDD..
if you are not going to sell the 40G, keep that as secondary, and have 'archive' in it... and just install Windows fresh in 250Gig.

is there any such PCI card that you would recommend? or a link of something that may work, so I can see if I'm on the right track.
