Upgrading from P3 (Katmai) to socket 370?

I am thinking of upgrading the P3 600 (Katmai) to a socket370 (coppermine) cpu - something faster. I read through Tom's HW site.. and got some info. on it... but was wondering if anyone can explain to me what I should look for.
From what I've read... I need a MB that supports 1.65v for socket 370.... is that it? If the MB supports that, can I just get a slot-socket converter.... and plob a socket 370 faster cpu on it? Ideally, how fast can the current MB handle? What determines that and how i can find out.

Thanks,
Cris

yah, good idea. Upgrading to P3 700 FCPGA with a later stepping would be good. You'll probably have hard time finding Slockets though.. difficult to find.. Try Ebay.
What kind of mobo you have? Is it well overclockable? You can OC very well with the P3 700.
But I think they are hard to find.. Not many 700's out there.

It would be easier if you told us what mobo you have. Some work, some don't. As far as the Vcore, PIII CuMines have been 1.6 - 1.75. It depends on which stepping.
