upgrading from NT to 2000 server

We are upgrading our entire network from NT boxes to 2000 server. We have about 220 users and all kinds of data to transfer over. We don't want to upgrade becuase want a nice fresh start, so what are some good ways to get all the data converted over?

And are there any tips or hints that we should look out for?

First and foremost, I would advise you to try installing and working with Win2k on a test lab if you can first. There are tonnes of websites with lots of helpful information including Microsoft's if you have any specific questions.

Good thing you are going for that fresh install. I tried an upgrade on a DC (after backing it up completely), and it failed during the setup (very early, but not early enough to back out). Got the error code, calls MS, and the guy told me "Never heard of that error code before" and that "He wouldn't be able to get that info for quite a while, I should reload with a fresh start". Great help eh??
